After 26 years of manufacturing ammunition at our Licensed factory here in Martock. The loading machines will stop this Christmas 2009. From January 2010 no further live ammunition will be made at this site. All remaining employees are being absorbed into our NEW enterprise:

GMT-DEMIL - Ammunition Consultancy.

Managing Director & Powdermaster Mr Bob LAWSON made the following comments on 30th November 2009:

"This specialist manufacturing business has been here in Martock, Somerset since 1983, first as 'Interstate' and then later as 'Geometrotec', always employing local people, at one time upto twelve persons.

This is not the end of Martock's connection with ammunition as we will be continuing in the form of an ammunition consultancy called GMT-DEMIL from January 2010 at our No. 47 Martock Industrial Estate premises. Over the past few years we have been involved more and more with demilitarization projects and consultancies and this is the NEW direction we will be concentrating on in the future."
